Civil War & Downtown Corinth Walking Tours

Led by our passionate and expert guide, Sean Marcum, our tours will enthrall and interest both the hardened Civil War buff and the complete novice alike in the history and people of this area.

Sunday, April 15, 22, 29, 2 p.m. - Civil War Walking Tour to begin at the site of Battery Robinett near the Civil War Interpretive Center. The Sunday tours can be several miles of walking. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Tuesday, April 17, 24, May 1, 6 p.m.
- Downtown Walking Tour to begin at the Historic Railroad Crossings at the Corinth Depot. This tour is a relatively moderate walk with stops near historic businesses, homes and the Verandah/Curlee House.

All tours are free and will be on a first come, first served basis. Participants are encouraged to come a few minutes early to see either the Crossroads Museum or the Civil War Interpretive Center.

"The Power of History"

"The orchestra will close the season with a musical pairing of unprecedented power: the music of Antonin Dvorak and music of the Civil War era. The concert will open with the beautiful and moving Symphony Number 9 in E minor, from the New World by Dvorak and will close with selections inspired by events surrounding the Civil War including American Salute (based upon the song, "When Johnny Comes Marching Home," Ashoken Farewell from the Ken Burns series and many more.

Corinth Civil War Reenactment"

September 15-16, 2012

The Farmington Heritage Committee along with the Blue Gray Alliance will be hosting the 150th Battles of Farmington and Corinth.

November 2-3, 2012

Twelve thousand luminaries play homage to the casualties of the Siege and Battle of Corinth. Downtown open houses, live entertainment, free carriage rides, and living history encampments are also a part of the commemoration.
